    The Power of Connection

    I find myself drawn to certain people. It is more than just an interest in someone; my energy is attracted to that person. It is important to pay attention to these kinds of relationships. Being drawn to people is our inner guidance system or, in other words, our intuition. These people who interest us must have special messages for us. There are definitely reasons why that person has come into our lives—possibly to help us play out our destiny.

    Implementation: Today take a closer look at someone your energy is drawn to. Does that person have a message for you or a reason for coming into your life? .

    The world’s energy continues to feel “off” as our heightened sensitivity meets with everyone being honest with one another . . . often in ways that hurt the feelings of highly-sensitive individuals. Please don’t take other’s irritability personally, and also don’t allow anyone to abuse you in any way. This current pattern is definitely temporary, and it IS having some hidden blessings, such as people becoming more involved in activism and speaking up about world events; and people disclosing their true feelings within relationships so that the basis of that partnership is based in honesty. Have patience with this awkward phase as we all learn how to be honest with ourselves and one another in new, gentle and yet truthful ways. It’s about being real.

    I love the rain! I also like to think I do FEEL the rain. I have not owned an umbrella in 20 years. Next time it is raining try walking and feeling each and every drop!

    Holiday Healing Tonic

    Everyone wants to stay well during the holidays!

    I have a potion I make the first minute I may start feeling achy! It is so simple yet so effective!

    I mix 2 cloves of peeled garlic with 1/2 inch of peeled ginger root in my Vitaxix with a cup of water. You can also use ablender. I mix until liquefied then add a small dash of cayenne pepper and drink up!

    This is my go-to tonic for healing!

    Vegan Pumpkin Bread

    Holidays ate here! Just sharing some of my favorite vegan recipes!

    This is a great basic pumpkin bread recipe! SO GOOD!


    1 cup chopped walnuts
    3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 cups packed dark brown sugar
    2/3 cup white sugar
    2 teaspoons baking soda
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    2 cups pumpkin puree
    1 cup vegetable oil
    2/3 cup coconut milk
    2/3 cup flaked coconut

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 8×4 inch loaf pans. Spread walnuts in a single layer on an ungreased baking sheet. Toast in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Set aside to cool. In a large bowl, stir together the flour, brown sugar, white sugar, baking soda, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Add the pumpkin puree, oil, and coconut milk, and mix until all of the flour is absorbed. Fold in the flaked coconut and toasted walnuts. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven, and cover loaves tightly with foil. Allow to steam for 10 minutes. Remove foil, and turn out onto a cooling rack. Tent loosely with the foil, and allow to cool completely.

    Carrot Ginger Soup

    This is the perfect season for this yummy vegan soup!


    6-8 large carrots, chopped small
    2 onions, chopped small
    2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
    3 tsp curry powder
    3 1/2 cup vegetable broth
    2 14 ounce can
    coconut milk
    sea salt, to taste


    Simmer the carrots, onions, ginger and curry powder in vegetable broth for 20-25 minutes, until carrots are soft. Allow to cool slightly, and then puree in blender, working in batches
    if needed. Return to heat and stir in coconut milk until well combined.

    Season generously with sea salt, to taste.

    Serve hot, or, chill until cold and serve as a gourmet vegetarian and vegan appetizer soup. This carrot soup will thicken as it cools, so if serving this vegan carrot soup cold, you may want
    to add a bit extra liquid.

    Two Wolves

    One evening, an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

    He said, “My son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all.

    One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”

    The grandson though about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?” The old Cherokee simply replied,” The one you feed.”

    Morning Intention

    For the last few days I have been doing something extremely powerful. I do a Morning Intention!

    As soon as my eyes open I start to visualize how my day will go. I visualize myself eating beautiful colorful fruits and veggies. I see myself at the gym covered in sweat, I see my family laughing and being happy, I see myself completing household chores with a smile, i see myself joyful that I am getting things done.

    It has proven to be an important habit!
