    Sun and Juice

There is nothing better than sitting in the sun with a green juice. You must try this. Here is what you do…

On one of those sunny days when there are white puffy clouds in the sky, make a juice…spinach, celery cucumber ginger and lemon. Get in your favorite outdoor lounge chair, feel the energy of the sun and drink your juice! You will thank me for this moment!

    Love Your Body

Love your body. Your body is a story of you, just as my body is the story of me. The body is a physical manifestation of the events of our lives: the challenges overcome, the scars that show resilience in healing, and the cycles of exploration, of hope, and of loss. We have survived it all. Let the story of your body remind you of your strength.

    Ahimsa Rocks

Today I would like to tell you all about the word AHIMSA! Got the following definition from Wikipedia! Ahimsa is a term meaning to do no harm. Ahimsa means kindness and non-violence towards all living things including animals; it respects living beings as a unity, the belief that all living things are connected. Gandhi strongly believed in this principle. Avoidance of verbal and physical violence is also a part of this principle, although ahimsa recognizes self-defense when necessary, as a sign of a strong spirit. It is closely connected with the notion that all kinds of violence entail negative karmic consequences!

    Do What Feels Good

“You’ve trained yourself to face reality. You’ve trained yourself to tell the truth. You’ve trained yourself to tell it like it is. So in the beginning, these fantasies feel a little inappropriate, because it’s like you’re fooling yourself. Sometimes people will say, “Well, isn’t this just denial?” And we say, we hope so! We hope that you are denying the absence that you do not want. And we hope that you are embracing the presence of what you do. But somehow the idea of denial has become a dirty word to you; like it is virtuous to face the reality of the horror of your own lives. And we would be ignoring anything that did not please us. We would get our eyes on what feels good.”

    Drink Em Down

Every vitamin was a tough pill to swallow for me until I learned this great little tip at a health expo a few years ago. I use it daily, and it even works for handfuls of vitamins! Put the capsule(s) in your mouth. Now take a big swig of water, and tilt your head…forward! Yes, I know, your first thought probably was, “but that goes against all the laws of physics!” Actually, no it doesn’t. When you tilt your head forward the pills float to the top of the water which is now at the back of your mouth. Keep your head tilted forward and swallow. And there you go. A tilt of the head helps the “medicine,” go down, in a most delightful way!

    Walk in the Rain

“Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.” – Bob Marley

I love the rain! I also like to think I do FEEL the rain. I have not owned an umbrella in 20 years. Next time it is raining try walking and feeling each and every drop!
